Chiropractic Care Helps Seniors

Chiropractice Care for Seniors Reduces Pain and Increases Mobility

As Bette Davis famously said, “Old age ain’t no place for sissies.”  Back aches, joint aches, stiffness, decreased range of motion, loss of balance, decreased coordination, sleep disturbances, low energy: all plague us as we age, and I’m sure you can add your own to the list.   The good news is that these types of problems respond extremely well to chiropractic treatments.

Wear and tear on the spine and joints result in misalignments between vertebrae of the backbone and often between other bones as well.  These misalignments impinge on nerves, and the resulting interference of nerve transmissions leads to a variety of symptoms.  Chiropractic care is one of the most effective and safest forms of health care to treat pain due to spinal related conditions. Chiropractic care is natural. This means chiropractors do not use drugs or invasive techniques.  Rather, we use a variety of methods to manipulate the spinal column, other joints, and soft tissues so that nerve function is restored, and your body can heal naturally.

Many seniors are hesitant to try chiropractic care thinking that it might be too stressful if they have conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis, other diseases, or are on medications.  In fact, the opposite is true. We adjust and modify treatments for everyone, according to individual needs as well as age. For the vast majority of people, adjustments feel good and at least some relief is immediate.

Regular chiropractic care reduces pain and stiffness, increases mobility, balance and coordination. Many patients also report better sleep, more energy, and an over-all increase in health and well-being.  To learn more click here, or even better – call me!
